Loading Omochao Remove by brianuuuSonic ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It was about time! Ok, I've been lazy lately. Two months with no update videos. This doesn't mean I haven't done any progress. Here I'm going to show the progress I've done and problems I've found along these past months. The issues are mainly: - Lightdash: as you saw on the past video, if the rings make a curve, most of the times, Sonic will just fly off. I'll have to replace those with something else (rockets? homing attack chains? rails?) - Model importing: whenever I replace an animated model, I'll start spinning randomly sometimes (wrong rigging? incompatible original animations?). - GIA: The maxscript that comes with Sonic GLvl will just crash 3DS Max everytime. I found a workaround using the "Render to texture" option, but if the scene contains a lot of models, GIA won't show in-game. So I'll better wait until Dario FF releases a new version of SonicGLvl with the "GIA Merger" (not the gia-merger.exe that combines lightmaps and shadowmaps, I'm talking about the merger that combines many GIA texture maps into larger maps so the texture count is decreased, it doesn't go over the GIA texture limit and shows in-game). - Breakable models: I'm not sure about how to create these. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ¡Ya era hora! Vale, han pasado dos meses y no he subido ningún vídeo. Eso no significa que no haya hecho nada, voy a mostrar los progresos y los problemas con los que me he ido encontrando. Los problemas son básicamente: - Lightdash: si los anillos se curvan, casi siempre Sonic sale disparado. Tendré que reemplazarlos con otra cosa (¿cohetes? ¿cadenas de enemigos para hacerles homing attack? ¿raíles?) - Modelos importados: cada vez que reemplazo un modelo con animaciones, a veces se pone a girar como loco (¿bones mal asignados al modelo? ¿fallo al intentar cargar las animaciones originales?) - GIA: El maxscript que viene con SonicGLvl me hace que falle el 3DS Max siempre. Usando la opción de "Render to texture" más o menos parece que sirve, pero si la escena tiene muchos modelos 3D, la GIA no aparecerá en el juego. Así que esperaré a que Dario FF saque la nueva versión de SonicGLvl con el GIA Merger (no el "gia-merger.exe" que combina lightmaps y shadowmaps, sino la posibilidad de combinar muchas texturas GIA pequeñas en texturas más grandes para que haya menos, no sobrepase el límite de texturas de GIA y salgan en el juego). - Modelos rompibles: no estoy seguro de cómo se hacen.
